Argentinian red wine
Argentina is the fifth largest producer of wine in the world. The country has had economic problems which have reduced the amount of wine consumed here, but investment from Europe and the USA has seen a large improvement in the quality of wines. Argentina’s reputation for producing good wine has been damaged over the last few years due to lots of cheap plonk appearing in supermarkets, but some of their best wines are brilliant and provide excellent value for money.
Riglos Gran Corte is a new Argentinian red wine produced by a group of talented winemakers; their vineyards are in the Uco Valley of Mendoza.
There were only 3824 bottles of the wine produced of this vintage, created with extreme care. It’s a blend of Melbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
